After 60 years of service the Irish Artillery retired their last 25-Pounders on July 30, 2009. The 2 videos above show the final firing of live ammunition. (The 25-Pounder portion of the 2nd video starts at the 5:00 minute mark.)

Through the tireless efforts of numerous military and civilian personnel 5 - 25-Pounders were made available to Canada:

Two guns were mounted as monuments to Canadian Artillerymen in Europe:

Three guns were made available to the following groups:

  • Limber Gunners - Toronto
  • 3 BAM - Montreal
  • 6e RAC - Levis
